In June, band members renovated the supply warehouse and painted the lobby of the Carolina Youth Development Center. CYDC provides programs reaching over 600 children and youth locally each year. "We care for young people with very serious problems including: physical and sexual abuse, neglect, abandonment and severe emotional disorders."

In July, band members sorted and organized food and spruced up the warehouse at the Lowcountry Food Bank. The Food Bank will distribute 14 million pounds of food this year.

In August, band members participated in a silent tour at Crisis Ministries. Last year, over 200,000 meals were served and 1,670 sheltered at Crisis Ministries. Edit Text

Trident United Way is working to strengthen our community by focusing on education, income and health. These are the building blocks for a good life-a quality education that leads to a stable job, enough income to support a family and good health. Trident United Way's goal is to create long-lasting change that prevents problems from happening in the first place in Berkely, Charleston & Dorchester counties. That's what it means to Live United in the Lowcountry.

Trident United Way provides many free services to our entire community.  For example: the 2-1-1 Hotline is a free, confidential, 24 hour service. Dial 2-1-1 anytime to give or get help.

Trident United Way is literally of, by and for the people of the lowcountry. Volunteers set policy, make community investment decisions and guide the organization. Every penny invested by Trident United Way stays in our three-county community.
