A Tale of the Christ
Set in the months following the Crucifixion of Christ, Confession of
Justus deals with the Roman Centurion Cassius Justus Longinus, Commander of the bodyguard of Pontius Pilate, First Centurion
of the Italican Cohort of the Sixth Legion (Ferrata: The Iron Legion) of Rome. Known as Centurion Justus to his men, he relates
the story of the trial and crucifixion from his own point of view. That of a Roman Soldier doing his duty.
Set: The
monologue can either be set up by the speaker by telling the crowd to imagine themselves back in Judea, in a small building,
assembled and discussing the events and the tales of Christs resurrection -OR- Justus and his men can enter as a total surprise
with no setup by the speaker and take the crowd back to those days.
