Lucius Tertinius Severus, of Carthaginian decent and born in the province of Africa in 10 BC, is believed, according
to local legend, to be the great grandson of Hannibal himself. We are unable to verify this as many records were lost
when the city was conquered. Enlisted into the Army for the invasion of Britannia, he was one of first to set foot on
the beach. After the beachhead was secured, his legion's Aquila went missing. Fearful for his life he deserted
to Greece. Soon after his desertion the Aquila was recovered. Severus, still having the desire to serve, reenlisted
with Legio VI. Here, using his knowledge gained in Britannia, he rose to the the rank of Tesserarius.
