Cabins, Modern Camp sites, and Hotels in the Area

Lodging

On Site Cabins and Villas

  • Number of Cabins/Villas: 4
  • Cabins are completely furnished, heated, air-conditioned, and supplied with bath and bed linens, cooking and eating utensils, coffee maker and a television. The cabins are located on a bluff overlooking the Edisto River. Pets are not permitted in the cabins or cabin area. Reservations can be made by contacting the park. For additional information refer to the reservation policy, which is located under the Rules and Regulations section on the left menu bar.
  • Cabin rates are $48/night (Sunday-Thursday); $116/weekend (Friday and Saturday nights); and $332/week. Reservations for three or more nights receive one night at half price (excluding Friday and Saturday nights, some holidays and peak periods). Guests also may enjoy the half-price rate by extending their check-out time past 10a.m. Each two-bedroom cabin accommodates up to six people. and includes a double bed in one bedroom, a double bed or a set of bunk beds in the second bedroom and a fold out sofa bed in the living room.

Modern Camping

  • Number of sites with electricity and water: 25 sites rent for $12/site/night
  • Campsites are available on a first-come, first-served basis, except for two sites which may be reserved exclusively for the handicapped. Each site has individual water and electrical hookups. Some sites accommodate RV's up to 40 feet. Thirteen sites are packed gravel while 12 sites, ideal for tent campers, are packed sand. The campground is convenient to restroom facilities with hot showers. A dump station is available for RVs.

 

Period Camping

  • The primitive group camping area has been reserved for this event by Legio VI. The area includes central water, fire ring and nearby restoom facilities. Reservations are accepted, however, no prepayment is required.   We encourage all participants to bring their tents and flies for the Roman Encampment.  Legio VI does have additional space in our tents if you need to stay onsite and wish to camp period.  Units with tents (Canvas, painted, or leather) are invited to bring them for inclusion in the camp.  There is NO charge to participants for period camping.

 

Hotel Information:

Bring your tent and plan to camp Period Style!  The weather in South Carolina in November is a balmy 67 to 82 degrees and beautiful!  May get cool at night, so bring a blanket!
